In the vast expanse of the dreaming sky live Gujarra Ngurnu, the two sisters who hold the cosmos in balance.
One is born of Rumarra, the radiant daylight, her wings spun from golden heat and drifting dust.
The other belongs to Ngurra, the deep and velvet night, her feathers stitched from shadows and silence.
Though divided by light, they are bound by an eternal, celestial choreography.
The Celestial Mirror
As the sun begins its descent, their sacred ritual quickens.
Where Rumarra’s light fades, Ngurra’s darkness rises, each sister perfectly mimicking the other’s movements in a seamless, cosmic reflection.
The Wings of Stars: As they soar from the setting sun to the rising moon, the stars above ignite, mapping the immense span of their wings across the dark canvas of the night sky.
The Ripple Effect: Every beat of their wings sends a silent vibration down to the earth.
Over generations and millennia, this continuous rhythm creates a powerful ripple effect-weaving the wind, shifting the tides, and gently turning the wheel of the seasons on the land below.
Bound by Breath and Shadow
One cannot exist without the other.
Theirs is a profound connection that defies separation.
In their unity lies an indestructible strength, a force that keeps the universe in motion.
Yet, this bond is also a perfect mirror of their vulnerability; a wound to the day is a scar upon the night.
They are two halves of a single soul, forever chasing, forever reflecting, and forever sustaining the world.
Gujarra Ngurnu means two sisters in Yawuru language.
