My Practice
My fine art practice is an intersection of traditional storytelling and modern visual expression. I explore the complexities of First Nations identity, the raw beauty of the Kimberley landscape, and the social histories that shape our present. Through both still photography and immersive digital media, I invite viewers to see Country through a new lens—one that respects ancient knowledge while embracing contemporary innovation.
Featured Series
Jurru
Jurru is an intimate examination of belonging and the enduring connection to Country. This series captures the spirit of the Kimberley, mapping the emotional and physical geography of Yawuru land. It is a visual dialogue between the land itself and those who walk upon it.
Native
A powerful portraiture series that interrogates the concept of political and cultural identity in modern Australia. Native challenges the viewer to look beyond the surface, questioning how history, policy, and personal experience collide to form the Indigenous experience today.
Exif
In Exif, I push the boundaries of traditional photography. By abstracting the familiar forms of the Kimberley landscape, I create works that feel both grounded and otherworldly, focusing on texture, light, and the raw energy of the environment.
Nagula Girradiny (Immersive)
Stepping beyond the static frame, this immersive mixed-reality project brings Dreaming stories to life. By utilizing VR and AR, I create a space where audiences can experience the story of Bilyar and the sacredness of Yawuru Country, turning observation into participation.
