Studio Film…

Through networking and sheer luck I managed to find a empty office space to set up a pop up photo studio which was a blessing in the very wet and humid conditions which at times affects when people want to do portrait sessions. Using the empty square room I grabbed all my lighting gear which has been in storage for the past year and started to test the Fujifilm XH-2 in a studio environment using both RGB LED constant light tubes and strobe flash with various modifiers.

The XH-2 does what it does, it’s a everyday work horse camera with some nice features that link up with the flash for controlling sync speeds and viewfinder modes to get faster captures with slight or major adjustments, the image quality with the sensor is very clean even with high ISO and using the film simulations gave an individual look that was welcoming other than just shooting in standard colour space.

I tend to capture close to what I see with very minimal editing if any, capture people as they are a passion of mine and having the flexibility of the camera amazing film simulations and best shooting to jpeg makes the camera a remarkable tool in a portrait session, the colour just work in that Fuji film way!
