The weather was still difficult but using the XH-2 in these conditions allowed me to push the capabilities of the camera, another cloudy day and we decided on a red dress at the historic Streeters jetty in Broome’s Chinatown location. One of the best features of the XH2 are the film simulations and I loved the red colour rendition that “Pro Neg Hi” brought out on the day and we also had some lil friends watch over the shoot. Later that day I had a nice moment with my wife capturing some softer muted tones of the sand dunes at Cable Beach using “Astia” as the preferred film sim with the 56mm lens to help create a dreamy feel to the images.
